I've tried this on 0.9.9 (I know you say to use V2 - but I wanted to try as I prefer the Quicktime-style timescale/progress bar on this version).

I've installed it and everything works fine, although I don't have a progress bar.

Is that the issue with this release? And if so, is there any chance of fixing it?

This is normal, this skin is build for VLC 0.8.x only.

The 0.8.x series of VLC hadn't use toolbars. The skin V2 build for 0.9.x need the toolbar to display the progressbar.

I'll say it once for all those mods, but thanks so much. Can't live without it anymore. :+fav:x10000

Tried it with 0.9.3 and it seems broken. Really liked it!

Then I am doing something wrong. It crashes always after I replaced the files and at startup I don't have the progress bar available...
